Lise
Akoka
who
first
graduated
university
with
a
psychology
degree,
also
followed
a
professional
acting
training.
She
then
discovered
in
the
practice
of
casting
and
child
coaching
for
the
cinema,
the
way
to
converge
her
two
interests.
She
has
worked
on
several
feature
films,
including
Suzanne
by
Katell
Quillévéré,
Mercuriales
by
Virgil
Vernier
and
Le
Nouveau
by
Rudi
Rosenberg.
Romane
Queret,
after
studying
film,
quickly
got
her
hands
on
film
sets
as
a
director's
assistant.
On
the
way
leading
to
directing,
she
was
sometimes
casting
assistant,
cameraman
for
television,
or
editor.
She
has
notably
worked
on
the
shooting
of
"Des
lendemains
qui
chantent"
by
Nicolas
Castro,
Imc's
sous
x,
and
Rudi
Rosenberg's
"Le
nouveau".
Since
Lise
and
Romane
met
on
the
casting
of
the
feature
film
Le
Nouveau,
their
team
became
a
boundless
creative
duo,
directing
"Chasse
Royale"
an
award
winning
short
movie,
"Tu
préfères",
a
TV
series
about
teenhood
broadcasted
on
Arte,
"Allez
garçon",
a
documentary
short
film
for
Canal
Plus.
They
have
directed
their
first
picture
“Les
Pires”
in
2022,
for
which
they
won
the
price
“Un
Certain
Regard”
at
the
Festival
de
Cannes
along
with
a
nomination
at
the
César
and
most
recently
saw
their
second
movie
“Ma
Frère”,
a
touching
and
sincere
tale
about
childhood,
nominated
at
the
Festival
de
Cannes
once
again,
in
2025.
